I am a mother of two beautiful boys who have taught me many lessons in life, but most notably they made me realize the fundamental importance of healthy sleep. My kids have always been happy and healthy, but I like many of you faced most of our struggles at bedtime. Teaching my children to sleep has transformed their lives as well as my own, for the better. We now have a completely revitalized family dynamic, and we find ourselves with more energy and motivation each day and that spills over into every aspect of our lives. It blew me away how much of a dramatic difference a good night sleep could make, and it made me realize that I needed to help show other families that they can achieve this too!
I provide sleep solutions for your children from birth through the toddler years! I offer compassionate, realistic answers to your child’s sleep troubles. I understand how frustrating it can be to get your child to sleep, and that’s why I work with you one on one so you can have the confidence and strength in teaching your little one how to sleep.
The problem with a book about sleeping, is that a book is usually a generalization. It tries to reach a large audience by providing information that applies to a lot of people. Evidently, everybody is unique and so is the way they sleep! A personalized problem requires a personalized solution! I want to help you and your family with what is best for you! I will get to know everything I can about you and your little one; evaluate your entire situation and help you come up with a plan that will work for you and your family. Taking care of babies is hard work (I know from experience!), and there is nothing I love more than to help families get some much needed sleep back in their lives. We all need sleep to function and I am there for you to cheer you on, answer those “what do I do now?” questions, and give you all the support and guidance you may need to achieve your goal of satisfying sleep.
We follow the Sleep Sense™ method which offers a unique and gentle approach of helping your little one get to sleep. While there may be some tears, when you learn to apply some simple methods and techniques, your child’s crying will be reduced to a minimum. I don’t believe in leaving children alone at night to cry, so you will be there to help your baby fall to sleep naturally and peacefully.
A little note about the “crying” question: Since people always ask me about whether my solutions involve “crying it out,” I think it’s something that deserves to be addressed here. Crying is your child’s way of protesting change, and showing their fatigue so you can expect that making changes to their sleep habits will result in some protest. That is why we are always sure to tell parents that our program will most likely involve at least some amount of protest on your child’s part. Please understand that we will never ask you to leave your child to cry alone, nor will we ask you to ignore their cries. The reason that our sleep method is so effective is that it lets us develop a customized plan that you can feel comfortable with, based on what we know about your child.
